CV Presentation matters
Is your CV presentation the difference that makes the difference?
I often think the job search completely contradicts the old saying “never judge a book by its cover”. From start to finish the process is about displaying the right image. So it stands to reason that the look of your CV is vital to your success in the job search. We all know that the only way to get noticed, to get your foot in the door is to get the employers attention. And fast. With the volume of applicants they have to look through you simply cant afford for them not to take to leave it to chance. Or that chance will be very slim indeed. In my experience you will get a 30 second glance over from an employer. If they like what they see, they will read further. If they don’t it’s the end of the road.
You see, the life of the person screening your CV is not much fun. Its frustrating and tedious, and tiring, and with the number of speculative and untargeted applications they receive, its like searching for a needle in a haystack, and quite often, they are peeved!
